Naturally, the 15 Plus gets the bigger display with a higher resolution to match but retains the same 460 ppi as its smaller counterpart. The duo's displays are based on the same technology and support the same features - HDR10, Dolby Vision, 10-bit color depth and both are branded as Super Retina XDR OLED.

The cost far outweighs the handful of new features. However, if you're on an iPhone 12 which Apple discontinued recently and are looking at the iPhone 15 series, then the iPhone 15 Plus is the one to buy. It gets new features such as Dynamic Island although the display is still stuck at 60Hz.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is not just the best camera iPhone but will likely end up being the best camera smartphone overall and is the right choice for those who want nothing but the best. If you are a gamer, go with the Pro Max, which not only offers a smoother display but is also capable of running AAA titles.

One of the biggest issues with the iPhone 15 has been overheating. However, this problem was originally reported around the release of the phone, when a lot of people were receiving their new iPhones and setting them up — that's when most of the overheating issues occurred.

Despite multiple iOS 17 updates, some iPhone 15 users still reported overheating problems. Perhaps more interestingly, Apple has indirectly confirmed this.
