Harvard itself a private UniversityMIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology ) is a private university. Then What’s the Difference? The most obvious difference is theprice. Public universities are less expensive than private universities. Private universities can cost well over $100,000 for a four-year degree. While public universities might be less expensive.Private universities tend to be more geographically diverse as the tuition is the same price for students regardless of whether they live in the state that the university is in. Alternately, public universities are more demographically diverse due to the lower cost of tuition.

“Excellence WITH Access” is a good way to describe Arizona State University. Here is the University’s Charter: “ASU is a comprehensive public research university, measured not by whom it excludes, but by whom it includes and how they succeed; advancing research and discovery of public value; and assuming fundamental responsibility for the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the communities it serves.”

Proud to be alumnus of the best University in the World 🌍 (University of Oxford ).My understanding is that the following seven factors define the reason for excellence for any institution.1. Historical Legacy: Centuries of academic excellence.2. Diverse Community: Global melting pot of talent.3. Rigorous Academics: Critical thinking through tutorials.4. Global Network: Doors open worldwide.5. Holistic Development: Beyond books – personal and professional growth.6. Nurturing Innovation: Catalyst for entrepreneurial vision.7. Ethos and Values: Emphasis on positive impact.

I want to share an article in the Chronicle of Higher Education about the dissolution of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. In this article, my colleague Hiroki Yokota raises important concerns about its potential impact on tenure and the future of higher education due to the arrangement between Indiana University Bloomington and Purdue University. It is worth reading: https://lnkd.in/gSJxAwNS.
