I just came back to the game properly last week after taking 6 months+ off. I was going to do the 16 event on a new character but since it was on Chaos I can't. Luckily I have my main on Light so I was able to at least get it done on that character. I hope they extend the event by 1 day due to the attack but I don't think they'll do that.

I am able to login with Alts. on Chaos(Louisoix) but not my Main. If i select my main on PC get 90002 or PS5 10105 when i attempt to login from outside my House. I tried a Data Center travel from Chaos (Louisoix) to Light (Odin) and logged in fine. Logged out in Ul'Dah's Inn Room on Odin, returned back to Louisoix and tried to log in from Inn Room and got the same 90002 code. SE have been very ignorant by not telling the community that there is problem. The Lodestone says server status for Chaos is fine which is not accurate..

Hmmmm… Thats odd… I got disconnected on my alt yesterday evening when the DDOS happened. I was running one of the ARR alli raids. Tried to re-connect three times but it wouldn't last; the whole raid would occasionally just disappear from all the disconnects which was kinda funny – first time I witnessed a wipe on Scylla XD Anyway, after the third time yesterday, I didnt bother to logg back in on that character that was still in the raid. But I logged in with that character just now and everything is fine. A bit laggy in part but other than that, it seems fine… 'ish …
Anyway, I really hope, things get better.

My Chaos main has this exact issue as well. Curiously, I am able to log in an alt that resides on the exact same server. Some friends of mine have alts they haven't played in months not be able to log in, while their mains are fine. Another friend was visiting Light DC when the whole thing went down, and she's able to play, but not able to transport her character back to her Chaos home world.
A different friend can only log one of their alts in, but sometimes isn't able to load the character login screen at all.

I'm new to FFXIV and I'm honestly surprised the DDOS has gone on for so long and the devs are so quiet about it. Usually the devs are being very loud by now and promising compensation on other MMOs.

I seem to have got hit with this as well, and I logged out from my house, not a timed instance. On EU/Chaos/Moogle. DC travelling to Light/Zodiark let me log in but if I log out and try return to my home world I get the error 90002 again. One of my alts could log in fine to Moogle though?

I came back from a 14 day vacation, right into FF errors. Sometimes getting back to reality is extra rough LOL.

I haven't done the crossover yet but TBH if I cared even a little bit about the rewards or about Final Fantasy 16, I would have done it a month ago when it came out. I still hope to do it last minute tonight because I want at least the music (FF16 won the best music award after all) but if I can't whatever. It will come back in a year or two if I'm still playing by them, so it's no big deal for me.

NA data center, I had gone through my Gold Saucer routine on Sunday, logging each character out in the GS. All day Monday, I could log in on any of the characters. However, if I tried to use the aethernet, tried to leave by "return" or "teleport", tried to leave by airship, or even tried to join an event like Mahjong, Air Force One, Leap of Faith, it was an instant 90002. I could do Wind Blows, Slice is Right and either of the Cliffhangers, but that was it. Even Fashion Report would cause a 90002. It was like that all the way up until Maintenance. This was on both Crystal and Dynamis.

Chaos seems to be having similar issues, longer than normal queues then kicked with error.

This has happened to me a month back and I just waited around 15-30+ minutes and hoped that for whatever reason I was able to time out from the instance. I was able to log back in that way by just waiting and not logging in during that time frame. Still, yeah it friggin sucks to get locked out because of this.

ddos attack is a hacking attack, FF14. because of this, we would not be play DT until 2025. ddos attack steal players personal info

Got dc'ed in HoH of all things logged back in just fine shortly after to find myself outside HoH and with my run ended. only to get kicked back out shortly after. I got back to my house but that was about it I was able to do. I realized that something was up and didn't aimlessly and impatiently try to get something done… I went and played fallout instead. That night shortly before maintenance I logged back in and dealt with my crops, logged out after a discussion on NN.

i hadnt log in during the dos but one of the peeps from CA discord complained about it, not able to prog in Eureka nor able to log in. then an hour later, i logged in and my connection was fine until power fluctuate as i was doing anima relic grind on my AST. i wasnt able to play further and went to bed 🤣

Was logged in as soon as maintenance ended and did Thordan Unreal but I DC'd during the middle of it. Turns out everyone was kicked out lol

Had the same issue, dc in an instance on a chaos server. After a few attempts , i was unable to log in at all. Account has possibly been hacked 😕

I was wondering what was going on lol I was playing with my alt and got locked out. I’m from the US and play on US server. I hope things work out. I won’t log on with my main because I’m afraid the same may happen.

It messed with me bad. I was doing ARR on my alt to get the Clive gear and got hit with the DDOS right before i got to Toto-rak. Thankfully Infinished literally an hour ago after spending all day finish ing( I didn't want to buy story skip sue me) and got the event reward. I could have had this done yesterday evening if it wasn't for this.

A couple of my friends has had the same problem,hopefully this gets fixed soon with the payment issues gets resolved soon cause they’re really really great friends and it would be a shame to lose them on 14

Yesterday I was playing and was going through msq, running around and queued up with npc group. Halfway through, error.
Logged on after a minute, tp back to main city for rested xp and logged.
24hours later, hopped on, finished npc run and continued msq.
Partied with a rando for crystal to queue them up quicker.
We start, error.
I did not try to get back on, I was thinking it was something with the recent update.I hope others characters are safe and we can continue to play with no issue.

I was doing the exact same Dungeon, only as a DRK for the achievement, and the LAG was horrible. We wiped twice on the first two groups. After that, I only did small pulls to hopefully reduce the LAG. One player DC'd and never returned. We got it done, but it was a pain. This was on the Aether Data Center

The culprit is either a troll who enjoys messing with others or someone who has a beef with FFXIV, probably a WoW player who blames FFXIV for Blizzard screwing up WoW.

Try restarting your router, unplug it restart PC then after desktop loads up plug it in since ddos attacks crashes the router as well as the server you may simply need a refresh on your end 2 friends of mine i made do this and it helped them

Can't do my sub here, and I can't even go back to Archeage because it got shut down without any real warning.. Well. When all else fails, guess it's time to go back to EverQuest.

DDoS attacks are super hard to counter. It’s terrible when it happens: I have a 2 hour window between putting my children to bed and working and it’s just so unfortunate I can’t log in to play in that short window. I hope your issues get resolved. ❤

I was unable to log in earlier on Chaos, too, but I was able to change Data Centers, to Light, and play all day. Maybe try deleting and redownloading the game itself? Clear your game memory and start fresh? Strange you’re unable to log in at all… very strange.
