Please see below for all the amazing accomplishments from another memorable year of Mavs Athletics. Also, some important information for the Summer and upcoming 2024-2025 athletics year is provided below as we begin planning to sustain the excellence and standard of Marvin Ridge Athletics!

Go MAVS!

SPRING SPORTS

  • WOMEN’S SOCCER: MRHS Women’s Soccer are your 2024 NCHSAA 4A State Champions! The Lady Mavs completed an incredible post-season run by defeating Mooresville in the Regional Finals by an impressive 4-0 margin to advance to the State Finals to take on a nationally ranked Ashley squad. It was a fantastic game of high-level play, with the Lady Mavs never backing down to take the lead late in the 1st Half on a beautiful strike by Lucy Chin on an Assist from Camryn McKee for the 1-0 Halftime lead. Ashley got the equalizing goal on a well-executed corner kick with 30’ to play, but the Lady Mavs responded soon after when Isabella Zicchinolfi hit a beautiful free kick just outside the box to give the Lady Mavs a 2-1 lead with around 23’ left to play. From there, the Defense locked down to protect the lead and give the Lady Mavs their second State Title in program history (2010 3A State Champs) and first at the 4A Classification. It was an amazing season and quite a way to cap off another sensational year for Marvin Ridge Athletics. Way to go Lady Mavs!
