With the new year just hours away, the odds are good that you’re thinking about organizing your life and eating healthier – I know that I am! For me, getting organized starts with meal planning because dinnertime is the most hectic partof ourday. If I don’t have a menu guide or mealplan, our evening can quickly end up in chaos as I struggle tocome up with a dinner idea. No plan = lots of time spentforaging through the cupboards, or even worse, running out to a drive-thru (which doesn’t work well for that “eating healthier” idea!).
To save myself lots oftime and stress, I put together a “31 Days of Dinners” meal plan to carry me through the entire month. Now when dinnertime rolls around, I just take a quick glance at my monthly menu andhave a whole month of options right in front of me. You can choose to follow the guide in order so that the date matches the meal number on the list below, or you can pick and choose meals from the list each week as desired. I tend to follow it week-by-week and then rearrange the meals duringthe week according to our schedule. Having a meal plan makes dinnertime so much easier. Bonus:You’ll save yourself a lotof money (and waste) when you’re only grocery shopping for items on your menu guide!

Hi Heidi,
Thank you for posting this! This is heaps of help. I’ve got 5 kids and it’s such a life saver. Can you please make school lunch pack ideas? Bless you!Reply
Hey Heidi, I’ve got three boys too! We tried homeschooling for 6 months, and although we loved it, it wasn’t right for us at the time. I’m hoping to homeschool again rather than send them to secondary school (we are in the UK). I’m bookmarking your site to browse around for ideas in the future. All the best! Joan.
