A man has been charged after he allegedly evaded police in a stolen vehicle in Hoppers Crossing yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called to reports an allegedly stolen Audi sedan was parked outside a property on Colliet Place about 2.20pm.

Police followed the vehicle to Tarneit Road, before stop sticks were deployed on Heaths Road.

The driver, a 27-year-old Werribee man, was arrested at the scene.

He’s been charged with theft of motor vehicle, drive manner dangerous, drive whilst disqualified ad traffic drug of dependence.

2. Aiken County suspect accused of stealing car with someone inside – Georgia

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Deputies responded to a disturbance involving gunfire, but the suspect stole a car with someone inside it and fled, according to authorities.

It all started around 1:30 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of East Pine Log Road, where deputies were sent to investigate a disturbance with gunfire where a suspect fire shots into an unoccupied vehicle and then ran on foot, according to officials.

Shortly after the first 911 call, another call reported that a male suspect had just stole vehicle keys and pointed a gun at a victim and then ran to the next business.

According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Caleb Nicholas Winburn.

SkyFOX was over the scene as the suspect led the California Highway Patrol on a chase along the 405 Freeway near the South Bay neighborhoods.

After officers placed spike strips and had followed the pickup truck for more than 30 minutes, the suspect eventually stopped the car, got out and officers arrested the man.

Officials did not say where the suspect may have spoken the pickup truck from.

4. Carjacking suspect leads officers on cross-county pursuit – California

The California Highway Patrol was in pursuit of a carjacking suspect near Carson.The pursuit started after someone called the Los Angeles Police Department to report a carjacking.Officers said the alleged carjacking happened along Cadillac Avenue in Mid-City. A witness relayed information to police as the victim fought the assailant in an alley. However, the suspect was able to overpower him and steal his car.LAPD officers quickly arrived and tried to stop the stolen car; however, the driver failed to pull it over.

The chase led officers onto the southbound 110 Freeway before getting onto the 405 Freeway. At this point, the California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit.

WALKER, Mich. — Four juveniles are in custody after leading police through multiple counties in a stolen vehicle.

Michigan State Police posted about the incident Tuesday morning, saying Ottawa County Deputies tried to stop a stolen vehicle.

Instead, the driver led them through Ottawa, Muskegon, and Kent Counties.

MSP Troopers tried to stop the group near I-96 and Fruitridge Ave, but it was the stop sticks deployed by Walker Police that finally halted the vehicle near 3 Mile Rd and Alpine Ave.

The four young people tried to run away, but were quickly found and detained.

6. Indy boy, 16, arrested after police chase, joy ride through several towns along I-65 – Indiana

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — A Whiteland police chase Wednesday night that spanned several towns along I-65 ended with the arrest of an Indianapolis 16-year-old.

According to police, officers with the Whiteland Police Department arrested a 16-year-old boy from Indy on Wednesday after a police chase went through towns including Whiteland, Franklin, Amity, Edinburgh and Taylorsville. Police believe it was a joy-ride scenario.

Police confirmed to FOX59/CBS4 that stop sticks were eventually deployed on Interstate 65 northbound near Edinburgh to stop the chase

7. Man accused of leading police on high-speed chase through Scott, Mississippi Counties – Missouri

SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KFVS) – A call about a driver doing “burnouts” leads to a high-speed chase through two southeast Missouri counties.

According to Scott City Police, a caller reported a careless and imprudent driver of a Dodge Challenger was doing burnouts in the area of Dearborn Street late Monday night, May 27.

An off-duty Scott City Police officer reported hearing a vehicle at a funeral home doing donuts in the parking lot.

Officers said when they found the car in question and tried to pull the driver over, but the driver wouldn’t stop and a chase ensued.

IVANHOE, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman is charged with several felonies after she was reported to have stolen an SUV and led deputies on a multi-county chase, the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

At about 3 p.m. Tuesday, deputies said they were called to a farm on Seavey Road near Ivanhoe in reference to a larceny in progress.

They said the caller reported seeing an unknown white van on their farm before the driver got out and stole their white GMC Yukon, fleeing the scene onto Ivanhoe Road.

While the caller tried to block the suspect from leaving, the suspect hit another one of the caller’s vehicles, according to the sheriff’s office.

9. Joliet Man Accused of Possessing Vehicle and Fleeing From Police – Illinois

The Morris Police Department arrested a man accused of fleeing from police and possessing a stolen vehicle.

Morris Police Deputy Chief Chad Skelton said an officer noticed Wesley Franklin speeding in a vehicle on Route 47 in Morris around 2:30 a.m. on May 27th. The 27-year-old Franklin from Joliet allegedly failed to stop and led officers on a pursuit

Skelton said the pursuit ended near Route 52 and Route 47 in Kendall County after Franklin’s vehicle hit stop sticks deployed by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office. Skelton said Franklin was in possession of a vehicle that was previously stolen from Joliet.

He was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding police and cited for other traffic offenses. Franklin was released with a notice to appear in court on June 17th.

10. SUSPECT APPREHENDED AFTER HIGH-SPEED CHASE IN SANDY SPRINGS ENDS WITH PIT MANEUVER – Georgia

It was a scene straight out of a cop thriller, but this high-speed chase through Sandy Springs was all too real. On Tuesday, a wanted man, now identified as Brian Atsu, led the police on a harrowing pursuit that ended with spike strips, a precision immobilization technique maneuver, and a foot chase through the suburb’s streets. Atsu was a fugitive with outstanding warrants for narcotic violations in Forsyth County and Dawson County.

Earlier that day, Atsu evaded two traffic stops—one in Alpharetta, and another in Sandy Springs—as reported byWSBTV. While fleeing from the police, he was driving a black BMW X6, triggering a FLOCK camera notification in Alpharetta. The subsequent investigation led detectives to the Morgan Falls Road area, where Atsu’s vehicle was located near Harbor Pointe Apartments.
