The officers were doing a routine alcohol compliance check shortly before 7:30 p.m. at Showtime Club when hey found the boy stand- i ng up and crying in the seat of the vehicle, according to Wausau Police Lt. Michael Juedes. The officers saw a man run away from the vehicle and head inside the strip club as they approached, Juedes said.
The 22- year-old mother, an employee at the strip club, was found inside and took custody of the child after alking to the officers. The mother told officers her 26-year-old boyfriend was supposed to be watch- ing the boy. The boy was not wear- i ng shoes or socks, though the temperature outside was 39 degrees at the time, Juedes said. The boy was not hurt in the incident. The officers able to find the man, but are still working to track him down, Juedes said.
