Wow! I'm so incredibly proud of the team and this project, for being recognized with 3 Silver Telly awards! More than anything, I'm just happy the message is spreading. Congrats to our amazing partners at Blue KC. Our incredible Director Anthony "chusy" Haney-Jardine. And of course to our outstanding team here at the Royals.

Based on recent commercials there is a podcast for everything. Well, this dude in Idaho is doing something that I'm all in on. Dave had me on to talk about the documentary we just released, but damn this dude is seriously making a difference. I'm only posting the episode where I talk about the problem with youth sports, but please give him a follow. This dude is legit, his authentic, and he's now an inner circle friend. Plus, he's a dude I can't wait to have a drink with. KidFirst Sports David Vassilaros, Esq.https://lnkd.in/gXcEfkvb

David is one of the many unsung heroes that gets it, and doing everything in his power to make a difference. Please follow him and his journey in his podcast and be sure to tune in tomorrow to hear a little insight from the film we just released.

With today being World Mental Health Awareness day, I'm so excited to announce the launch of our full length documentary Not Good Enough. We tap into the issues surrounding youth sports and the extreme pressure kids are living under. This has been a passion project of mine for over 5yrs and we finally found the perfect partner to help us tell this story. I'm not proud to say it, but I'm currently a recovering transactional parent and coach. This project was the one thing I felt like I had to do for my two sons to try and apologize for intense pressure I put on them growing up. We all need to be better, we need to let kids be kids. Our memories of how we "did it" were later in life memories, not 8u or 10u memories. Please watch the film, watch it with your family or your team. Then share it with even one person. That is how change ultimately happens. Thank you to our amazingly brave clients at Blue KC. Thank you to our team here at the Royals. Thank you to Anthony "chusy" Haney-Jardine and his Plan A team. Most of all thank you to the brave parents and kids that were willing to be in the film and have their voices be heard.

As we continue to raise awareness about mental health and the stigma surrounding it, we decided to focus on an area where many of those issues begin at a very young age. The epidemic centers on youth sports and the toxicity that's growing at a rapid pace. Did you know that most kids are quitting all sports by the age of 11? And that teen athletic related suicide is at an all-time high?I was part of the problem with my boys, I'm still not sure what kind of long term damage I did to them, but this is my way of trying to make it right. This is an extended teaser to a film that we're looking to launch in September. The goal is not only to raise awareness but actually make a difference and give parents and coaches the tools to be better. Ultimately I want this film to be mandated across all school districts, required for parents and coaches to watch prior to whatever sport that's beginning their season. Thank you to our brave clients at Blue KC (Chad Waller, Christina Lively, Jenny L. Housley, CEBS) for taking on such a polarizing topic. Thank you to the amazingly talented, award winning director Anthony "chusy" Haney-Jardine for painting this picture so vividly. And of course thank you to the amazing team here at the Kansas City Royals that made it possible, you all continue to amaze me every single day.

Here are two examples of the letters we installed for Mental Health Awareness month. The focus being on the damage that’s happening in youth sports across America. Ask yourself, when does helping hurt? #mentalhealthawareness #sports

I'm so incredibly excited to share this work to the world today. This project is very special to my heart as I'm very much a recovering transactional parent/coach. We often don't realize that even though we're trying to help our kids, it's actually hurting them. While this month is Mental Health Awareness month, this is a year long issue that is sport agnogstic. These installations are one of many things we're doing in the coming weeks to start the conversation and give people the tools to be better. Great work by so many people on the team with this one! #ShutOutTheStigma #KansasCityRoyals #BlueKC
