executed handled business but overall it wasn’t it wasn’t a great game and reason being they had a great job of being able to guard him and defend him oneon-one with help on the backside what I do like from Dallas that I saw man the reason Jason Tatum wasn’t able to get off they zoned up a lot of times once he got the ball defense loaded up making him a passer you know what I’m saying so so what’s the adjustment for Boston on that because people that don’t follow the NBA very much there’s so much adjust adjustment between each game bass got down you got it oh no those that don’t follow the NBA closely she was Raising her hand I thought she was G me a high five was raising my hand like yes educate me slay she wanted to you thought she wanted to answer what the adjustment was going to be yeah I think I think honestly the adjustment is going to be will you be impatient that’s the adjustment okay will Jason Tatum be impatient and say oh I got to get my points or will he be okay with Jaylen Brown being able to go crazy and have his time and him just fitting in and being a guy that can um distribute to other guys if he starts to rush and force his shots and get points things of that nature it could change it if Boston was going to be um if Boston was going to make an adjustment I would say get up and down the court faster I thought if if you get the ball in and out faster and you get in some transition it’s harder to let guys um load up on one side when you have the ball same thing for Dallas they can’t run that pick and roll and expect that lob they ran that pick and roll expected that lob the guys didn’t drop the guys switched so now it’s one-on-one with guys in help position so you got to go to something else maybe take that away and go with some single screens down screens for Kyrie let him come off curl play a two-man game that way instead of playing a two-man game as far as pick and roll goes how do you take in NBA postseason being a former player like are you are you like cheering loud are you analyzing it the whole time like how how do you take in these games I go with the momentum yeah um meaning like when Boston gets on the run I’m hyp I’m like off the pedal but it’s all it’s almost you got to take a deep breath at some point and when you take that deep breath that’s when they start to pour on so it’s hard to maintain that but I will say man if I was Jason kid I would show them that film of forget the game show them that film from the point where we started to make the run all the way to where we cut it to eight what did we do right in this situation and then cut it off you almost expect it right like so they they make that run from 29 to 8 and then you just wait for Boston to get like two straight baskets and then it’s like oh crap yep and then I think I think the ace and the hole that Boston is continuing to hold on Dallas is they picked Luca in the back court twice I would continuously pressure him 94 ft regardless if I’m trying to steal the ball just to wear him down because if he’s not going to give up the ball and let somebody else bring it up and he go down and wait on the offense then that means he’s going to exert so much energy and a lot of usage points come from him I’m wearing him down because even with kyri doing what he does it’s still a two-man show everybody else feeds off them you take them away from the game then what do you got with Boston you got Jason Tatum you got Jaylen Brown you Run the offense through but you got Drew holiday that’s used to being who he is on the ball running pick and rolls orchestrating offense and Derek white doing the same exact thing with porzingis coming back that’s the problem porzingis came back it’s not necessarily his offense yeah when it was wavering in the first quarter though him hitting threes him getting rebounds him blocking shots all that plays a factor man in the leading you giving you especially at home energy that’s oh that’s that’s that’s rushing top five best backs this year spear set with the o line we’ve got we can reach those Heights but we’ve got to uh push each other and it starts now so love it I combined that quote from him with what you and I saw of the birst from both those guys um when we were out there but also uh with Spears saying uh that they’re just pushing each other so I started thinking we haven’t really heard a lot of Titans fans it’s almost like everybody’s over it right like Derrick Henry’s gone okay we’re moving forward which is funny because in the moment we said it we kind of be like that I did and people were so emotional when it was going down but I’m like once you once you get past you know the mushroom cloud right everything you know it’s like Mount St Helen’s blew up right and destroyed everything around it but then there was regrowth right and so that’s what you’ll see and so it’s interesting to think about would you rather have Derk Henry in that style of offense or are you excited about this pared Spears more than uh 50 Target combo running back in addition to running the ball they can catch it and all these things and spread the offense out and all those things are you good with that or do you still wish you had the old thing wait are you saying see Derk Henry in a Callahan offense that’s the comparison go there you can go there let’s go there because I think if you’re if you’re saying you I don’t think it works that’s why I think he was gone but well but but my point is if you’re asking I think everybody’s going to say par and Spears unless you say there’s still an emotional guy out there that’s still like damn I wish we had the king yeah but not if you’re going to be in that archaic offense right you know so if you take it okay Derrick Henry in this offense which you think I don’t know I think Derrick Henry can work anywhere are they better moving on from the king at this point are the Titans better with Pard than Spears in this offense yes I I think so he likes to pass as well but also like to go freelance as far as extending plays and keep your plays alive alive I dang I can’t think of the word but with Derrick Henry in order to get the most out of him you got to run the rock like we all know that we’ve seen that with his entire career you that yeah he tells you that Alabama showed that he showed it when he came to the Titans so he said he needs 20 carries it’s it’s no ifans a but get that at the Ravens so we can talk about that part of it too because GRE coell came on yesterday and if you missed it he’s really intrigued and a lot of people around the league are too because they run so much shotgun yes historically speaking with Lamar Jackson and that’s not Derrick Henry yep it’s not so what do they do yeah and that’s what make so do you think that Derrick Henry can evolve into that okay especially as he’s getting older let me ask let me ask this question so for a shotgun running back you need that quick burst immediately right he’s a ramp up Runner you can’t be that in the shotgun can you can you I don’t I don’t think cany if if you’re if you’re I’m with you I’m with you that’s why it may it remains to be seen is he getting hit in the back field in a shotgun or are they sitting back on their heels and taking a second to think what is Lamar Jackson going to do is he going to hand it to him is that better even with a a solid offensive line him putting the ball in his belly does that freeze the linebackers for a second to not get behind the line of scrimmage right so it’s a it’s a lot to play in it Defenders have talked about like we’ve got to we’ve got to not allow Derrick Henry to get to step three yep right right so does he have a better chance to get to step three in the shotgun maybe he does and if he and I don’t know be committed to that lane and they’re going to know where he’s going and that’s why it’s important for the coaches they going to have to watch film and Lamar to have the Instinct because if they are diving down on on Derrick Henry you know what that’s keeping on the outside I dare you to act undisciplined Lamar Lamar said another record exactly so it’s I mean keep your Edge even if you don’t want to yeah even if you don’t want to exactly so it’s it’s going to be interesting but it’s a lot of stuff I think instinctively it’s got to come together and how quick does it come together so
