AoS 4th Edition Daughters of Khaine Rules

Here is the latest on the Daughters of Khaine rules for the 4th Edition Age of Sigmar from Warhammer Community.

The Cult of Khaine has been causing mayhem since the Age of Myth kicked off. What began as a tiny group of fanatics worshipping a deceased god has, thanks to Morathi’s cunning, exploded into a widespread phenomenon.

Now, you’ll find these bloodthirsty enclaves in almost every City of Sigmar. Morathi, always the strategic mastermind, cultivated her followers as her power base long before she snagged her godhood status. She ran the show from Ulgu—the Shadow Realm—handed to her by her once-mortal, now divine son, Malerion.

The Daughters of Khaine aren’t just talk; they prove their loyalty through savage gladiatorial duels, blood-drenched rituals, and some seriously spooky sorcery. When the divine trio—Tyrion, Teclis, and Malerion—needed to trap Slaanesh and rescue aelven souls, who did they call? Morathi, of course!

Battle Traits

When it’s time for war, the Daughters of Khaine move like quicksilver. They prioritize speed and agility over heavy armor, using shadow sorceries to enhance their deadly combat skills. As battles rage on, the bloodshed only makes them stronger.

Their pre-battle Sacred Blood Rites imbue them with a portion of Morathi-Khaine’s divine power, making them hit harder and move faster as the fight progresses.

Battle Formations

The Daughters of Khaine have four main battle formations. The Scáthcoven formation features elite Melusai and Khinerai troops from Morathi-Khaine’s Vyperic Guard, who strike with blistering speed.

Other formations use shadow magic to move Khainite infantry swiftly across the battlefield, perform acrobatics to ensure charges hit home, or deploy mobile cauldron-shrines to smash through enemy lines.

Arcana & Incantations

Their priestesses and spell-weavers wield shadow magic and blood rites, using the Lore of Shadows to sap life from enemies while Prayers of the Khainite Cult bolster their allies.

Most impressive are the Manifestations of Khaine, constructs of living blood that take on forms like giant serpents, bloody hands, and blade whirlwinds.

4th Edition AoS Rules: Daughters of Khaine Warscrolls

Morathi-Khaine

The Daughters of Khaine hit new heights when Morathi-Khaine achieved her apotheosis, splitting into two distinct entities. Her aelven aspect casts powerful shadow magics, while her damage is redirected by the One Soul, Two Bodies ability.

Pinning her down activates a terrible trap as she swaps places with her darker counterpart in a Mirror Dance.

The Shadow Queen

The Shadow Queen, Morathi’s darker aspect, is a colossal serpentine war queen. While her aelven side is a supreme sorcerer, the Shadow Queen excels in melee combat, shrugging off damage with the Iron Heart of Khaine and inciting her Scáthborn brood to a frenzy with the Fury of the Shadow Queen.

Sisters of Slaughter

The whip-wielding Sisters of Slaughter epitomize the Daughters of Khaine’s combat style. Their agility grants them a WARD (6+), and their Bladed Bucklers allow them to parry attacks and hit back with mortal damage.

These shields aren’t just for defense; a confident saving throw of 6 means they parry the attack and counter with deadly precision.

Khinerai

The winged Khinerai deliver Morathi’s judgment from the skies, dropping into combat to deliver Death from Above. Khinerai Heartrenders, in particular, are skirmishing specialists who hurl barbed javelins before swooping out of harm’s way, forcing enemies to chase them through constant barrages of javelins.

Daughters of Khaine Spearhead

Morathi-Khaine’s top devotees, known as the Heartflayer Troupe Spearheads, are on a mission to find the most deserving enemies to take down as sacrifices to their goddess.

“Spearhead” is a standalone game that’s just right for diving into epic battles in Age of Sigmar. It’s small enough to fit on a kitchen or coffee table, and you only need one Spearhead box to get the games going for the 4th Edition.

The best part? You can snag free downloads with different rules, warscrolls, and objectives.
