Charles Harner Hobey Light graduated from Pennsylvania State College in 1926. He was an outstanding member of the Penn State backfield on the 1925-26-27 football teams. Light was active in Parmi Nous, Friars, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, student council, the Inter-Class sports council, Y.M.C.A. Advisory Board, and was on the varsity football team as the fullback. The Nita-Nee Club, begun in 1922, was the first local women's fraternity group established at Penn State. In 1931 the club became the Beta Phi chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta.
