Hanging onto glasses and jars? Ohhh i know this problem quite well. Except also applies to plastic container with Good lids and bags..my mom has much worst version of it. But i think it stems from older generation, post war parents(50s era) and how everything was reused and maintained. Just becomes an annoying clutter problem

"I Was a Teenage Exocolonist" encouraged replays in an interesting way. It's a story heavy game that makes it impossible to see all story branches, relationships, developments, etc. in one play through (not uncommon). But they make it clear after you finish, that a replay will be different because the character will remember some things from the previous game. They can make new choices based on what they know…but also there are consequences (e.g. people thinking they're delusional). There's one big story change early on that shows how much will be different now that your character has foreknowledge. And that grows with each play through as you (and the character) experience new outcomes.

Real talk I think raiding in WoW has jaded Jesse to ever want to deal with any pushback in a video game. And like I 100% get it. But it makes me think that raiding too long in WoW either turns you into someone who craves challenge in every game or someone who actively avoids any kind of challenge.

Hopefully this FFXIV collaboration with Mountain Dew goes well. The Grubhub promo during Endwalker really left a lot to be desired. I honestly didn't even know how much of a meme it is in Japan after watching the live letter 😆Also, I see Koji is back with his punny names.
Honestly, who wouldn't want to ride a mount called Mountain Zu. The shirt is also amazing, imagine wearing that during the next fanfest 🤣

I'm with Jesse. Boss fights are my least favorite aspect of single player games.

I tried Starcraft 2 during the beta and got zerg rushed. Never played it online since then, but I do love to watch the tournaments. The only way to get to those ship battles is to either be good enough to get to the late game or play with friends where you can set up rules like no attacking till ten minutes into the game. Also the problem with SC2 is it is hard to manage the macro and micro parts of the game.

AOE 2 has some of the best single player campaigns for an RTS would rec. For Scary Game Squad, be creful when going over 3-4 hrs. For me that's the cut off point for me, if a video takes longer than 4 hours that's an afternoon and I tend to watch it all at once. Have a good weekend all!

If Miyazaki and company put the mechanic in the game it's a valid way to play. Ashes , Summons , magic etc they were placed there with intent. To be used or not used. Just as valid as hiding behind a shield the entire game 😊

Not just Mountain Dew but I'm like that with literally ANY soda these days, I just have no taste for it anymore. I can't remember the last time I had soda of any sort. I know I do have it on occasion just because I forget myself and every time it's an immediate and harsh reminder why I don't drink it any more.

It always bums me out when I here Youtubers and Streamers talk about the diminishing returns of playing a longer series. Bulk of what I watch these days tends to be that sort of thing and (no judgement mind you) it always pains me getting into watching someone play something like that only to leave in unfinished because the views were dropping off.
One thing it has down however is make me VERY conscientious on how the beginning of a game goes. It's always fun suggesting games to Youtubers and Streamers, but nowadays before I ever do so I always find myself thinking "Does it get good within the first 1-2 hours? If not it's probably not worth bringing up."
