Huycke, age 79, Appleton, passed away April 16, 2007, at King Veteran Home, King Wisconsin. He was born April 18, 1927 to the late Henry and Lena (Schlive) Huycke in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Roy served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Second Class Seaman. Roy married Margaret Jansen April 30, 1949 at Holy Name Church in Kimberly. He worked at American Can Company for more than 40 years retiring in 1989. He was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors dren: David (Shirley) Huycke, Appleton; Ann (LeRoy Jr.) Klitzka, Appleton; Michael (Susan) Huycke, Kentucky; Cathy (Bill) DeKeyser, Appleton; Carol (Cory) Timm, Waupaca; Dennis (Linda) Huycke, Appleton and Connie Stadler, Colorado, He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Margaret, sons: Gary and Charles, and infant daughters: Mary and Karen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 18, 2007, at 1 p.m.. at the Valley Funeral Home. Following the service will be Military Honors performed by the VFW Post of Appleton. Interment will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Menasha.

Le Beau, age 89, of Shawano, formerly of Clintonville, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007. She born in the Town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, on October 1, 1917, daughter of the late William and Lillie (Schultz) Braatz.

On June 21, 1939 she was united in marriage to Vincent B. LeBeau in Clintonville, he preceded her in death in 1986. The LeBeaus had resided in Clintonville for many years and Mrs. LeBeau has lived in Shawano since 1992. She was employed as a nursing assistant at the Clintonville hospital, retiring in 1979.

Mrs. LeBeau was a former member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church of Clintonville and a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Shawano. She enjoyed sewing and for many years sewed and donated baby caps thru the Clintonville Hospital Auxiliary, she was a member of the XYZ Homemakers Club and the Cousin's Birthday Club.

Survivors include a son, Craig (fiancee Pam Beetham) LeBeau, Appleton; grandchildren: Melinda LeBeau, Milwaukee; Chad (Debbie) LeBeau, Beaver Dam; Cynthia (Jerry) Gueth, Vermillion, OH; Mark (Judy) Sheldon, Wellington, OH; great-grandchildren: Jerod Sheldon, Christopher and Jonathan Gueth, Brandon Driver tears The Post-Crescent APPLETON Police have no suspects after a driver tore up an elderly woman's back yard with a vehicle last week. Thomas J. Death came and a new eternal life in Christ began for Fr. Thomas J. McCarty, O.C.S.O. (Order of Cistercians, Strict Observance; the on Good Friday, April 6, 2007, at New Melleray Abbey, a Dubuque, Iowa.

Father Thomas was born July 14, 1923 in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, to Joseph C. and Grace McCullough McCarty. He studied at Holy Cross elementary school, Kaukauna High School, and the University of Notre Dame, from which he graduated with a degree in chemistry. He was a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II, serving with the Pacific Fleet until late 1946. Father Thomas entered New Melleray Abbey September 12, 1947.

He made his solemn profession in the Order of Cistercians, Strict Observance, on November 21, 1952, and was ordained a priest on February 25, 1956. He served as Novicemaster from 1959 to 1969, and then in the abbey accounting department. In his later years he served as Chaplain at Our Lady of the Mississippi, the Trappistine Abbey located 17 miles from New Melleray. At the Mass of Celebration on the Death of a Cistercian on Easter Tuesday, Abbot Brendan Freeman said "Father Thomas was a gentle and quiet man who spent 60 years as a monk in simplicity and prayer. He will be missed by his community and relatives." Surviving are his brother, Neil J.

McCarty, and sister-inlaw Patricia K. McCarty, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin. Also, fifteen nieces and nephews, twenty-six grand-nieces and grandnephews, and three greatgrand- nieces, many of whom joined with their beloved Uncle Tom in the annual McCarty-Schultz family reunion at the Abbey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet McCarty Fieweger (1944), his father, Joseph C. McCarty (1963), his mother, Grace McCullough McCarty (1975) and his sister, JoAnn McCarty Schultz (1992).

Gladys was preceded in death by two brothers: Albert Kobussen and Robert Kobussen; her sister, Eileene Tennessen, and her brother-inlaw, Vincent Wydeven. The memorial mass for Gladys will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Menasha. Family and friends will be received at the church on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m.

"Chuck" Lornson, age 62, died at his home on Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Menasha. Chuck was born July 26, 1944 in Winnebago County, the son of the late Harold C. Lornson, Sr. and Marcella (Bayer) Lornson. He had been a resident of all his life.

Chuck had been employed at the Five and Dime for 2 years, Theda Clark Medical Center for 20 years, Vallhaven Nursing Center for 4 years and Super Value for 6 years. He devoted his life caring for other people. Chuck worked shifts for other people who had families so they could have holidays off. He cared for his mother before she passed on. For the past 7 years Chuck had been taking care of his sister Nancy until he got sick.
